Dj XO Launches His Album “Young Legend III”

Houston, Tx - On Thursday, June 27 Dj XO hosted his listening party for his new album release, "Young Legend III" at Takeover Studios.

Dj XO, a Houston native, who is an artist, producer, and a Dj, seems to be one of the hottest trends this summer. Not to mention, he is already one of the most recognizable producers in Texas, but that doesn't seem to stop him from leveling up.

Since 2016, XO has released various projects which includes 3 solo projects, 1 compilation, and 2 featured projects. He has produced close to 200 songs that features Texas-based artists. On June 28, he released his 4th solo project which was "Young Legend III"and invited his fans to engage with him at his listening party.

How did you start with music?

I've been doing music my whole life, I've been playing the drums at church since I was 4 years old, but that was something that has always been within me.

How do you feel about all these people who came out tonight to support you?

It's a blessing, that's what we do it for. The whole point of this is to empower other people and let them know I come from the bottom. I come from not having or being rich like most people. You don't have to have chains around your neck, you can have houses or whatever you want to do with your money, but you can be successful. You can come from that and really live.

What do you like to do for fun?

Sports, I play basketball and travel a lot. I also love performing, I like doing what I do for a living.

What advice do you have for anyone with a dream?

Having consistency! Most people stop right before its about to happen for them, everything will break down and they give up. Sometimes there are situations where if they would've held on for 2 weeks, something big could've happened for them. Have consistency, never give up!

I truly enjoyed this event, met many wonderful people, loved seeing the support that was given that night. Dj XO is truly a wonderful person who wants to help others level up. You can find him doing community outreach with the youth of Houston and surrounding areas, and participating in events that will promote unity amongst Houston-based talent.
