Nipsey Hussle: Shot dead outside his store

On Sunday March 31, most respected rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot outside his clothing store in South Los Angeles. It was around 3:20 p.m that local police received a phone call about a shooting outside the Marathon Clothing store, which Hussle had opened in 2017.
A statement on the LAPD HQ Twitter account reads: "At approximately 3:20 pm there was a shooting reported in the area of Slauson Ave and Crenshaw Blvd. 3 victims were transported to a local hospital where one was pronounced deceased. We have no suspect info at this time and will provide more details as they become available."

A few minutes later, it was confirmed that 33 year old Ermias Asghedom, better known as Nipsey Hussle was dead.
Javante Alexander, Communications major at Texas Southern University who is from Dealy City, California expressed his emotions about Hussle's death.
"It affected me like one of my hero's disappeared, but his death made me want to become a better man. Seeing what he was doing for his community made me realize we all need to do our part when it comes to taking care of our people,"expressed Alexander.
Hussle successfully navigated the complex world of the entertainment industry and wanted to focus on “giving solutions and inspiration” to young black men like him.He spoke openly about his experiences with gang culture. He denounced gun violence through his music, influence and community work.
His death effected so many people.
Leaving his wife Lauren London with two children.

Hussle left an impact in the communities. After his death, all the large cities had a vigil in honor of him.
Charmaine Jenkins, a Biology student a Texas Southern University, attended his vigil in Houston.
"Personally I was just sad because I felt like his life was taken too soon when he was doing so much for his community. I attended his vigil and was shocked on the amount of people that attended and to see how many people were riding with him was so surreal," said Jenkins.
Hussle will forever be an important piece for all the communities, he was respected and honored for everything he did.
